In a large skillet add oil and onion. Cook until onion begins to become soft and translucent.
Add in orzo, cooked chicken, broccoli, chicken broth, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
Once orzo is soft stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese. Stir until well combined and cheese is melted.
