Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Bakery Style Cookies
Browned butter and with milk chocolate chips creates the perfect cookie. The crispy edges and melty little puddles of chocolate chips are made better with a sprinkle of flaky salt.
Place the butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, the butter will begin to foam. Keep stirring until the butter begins to turn a light amber color. The foam will subside and you will have little brown specks (milk solids) at the bottom of the pan. Cool for 30 minutes.
In a bowl add browned butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Mix to combine.
Add in egg and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix until til just combined. Then fold in chocolate chips.
Divide dough into 8 balls and place onto a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes.
