This Cheesesteak Pot Roast combines tender chuck roast, peppers, onions, and provolone cheese for the ultimate comfort food. Make it in the oven or crockpot!
Season chuck roast liberally with seasonings. You may need to cut down the roast into smaller pieces to fit in the dutch oven to sear.
Add sliced peppers and onions to the roast. Top slices of butter and beef broth.
Cover and place into oven and bake for 3-4 hours.
Remove roast from oven and pull apart meat with two forks.
Top meat with provolone cheese and allow to melt.
Serve over rice or on hoagies.
Crockpot Instructions
Rub the chuck roast with oil and season liberally with seasonings and place into crockpot over low heat. Top with sliced onions, peppers, butter, and beef broth. Optional: you can sear the roast prior to placing into the crockpot.
Cook roast on low for 8-10 hours.
Remove roast from crockpot and pull apart meat with two forks. Then return to the juices.
