Oven Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Season chuck roast liberally with seasonings. You may need to cut down the roast into smaller pieces to fit in the dutch oven to sear.
- Add sliced peppers and onions to the roast. Top slices of butter and beef broth.
- Cover and place into oven and bake for 3-4 hours.
- Remove roast from oven and pull apart meat with two forks.
- Top meat with provolone cheese and allow to melt.
- Serve over rice or on hoagies.
Crockpot Instructions
- Rub the chuck roast with oil and season liberally with seasonings and place into crockpot over low heat. Top with sliced onions, peppers, butter, and beef broth. Optional: you can sear the roast prior to placing into the crockpot.
- Cook roast on low for 8-10 hours.
- Remove roast from crockpot and pull apart meat with two forks. Then return to the juices.
- Top meat with provolone cheese and allow to melt.
- Serve over rice or on hoagies.
