- Cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form into patties slightly wider than your buns. Press a small indent into the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with cheese and allow to melt.
- Butter the buns and toast them lightly on the grill until golden.
- Spread BBQ sauce on both sides of the bun. Add the cheeseburger patty, two slices of bacon, crispy fried onions, and any additional toppings you like.
- Serve hot with fries, chips, pasta salad, or baked beans.
