These Cowboy Burgers are loaded with juicy beef patties, crispy bacon, pepper jack cheese, fried onions, and BBQ sauce for the ultimate grilled burger recipe perfect for cookouts and summer grilling.
Cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form into patties slightly wider than your buns. Press a small indent into the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with cheese and allow to melt.
Butter the buns and toast them lightly on the grill until golden.
Spread BBQ sauce on both sides of the bun. Add the cheeseburger patty, two slices of bacon, crispy fried onions, and any additional toppings you like.
Serve hot with fries, chips, pasta salad, or baked beans.
