Sweet Hawaiian Rolls

These sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls are the perfect amount of sweetness and sure to be a hit at your next dinner!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 tsp dry active yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3.5 cups flour
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine 1/4 cup warmed water with yeast and sugar. Set aside until foamy.
  • In a large bowl (I use my stand mixer) combine remaining ingredients, except pineapple juice.
  • Add in water and yeast mixture and 1/2 cup juice. Mix together, adding in remaining juice if needed.
  • Knead mixture for 7-10 minutes. Shape into a ball, place back into bowl, and let rise for an hour, until doubled.
  • Place dough onto counter and divide into 12 sections (roughly 2.5 oz each). Shape into a ball and place on a baking sheet to rise four about another hour.
  • Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Top with a little more butter if desired
