With so many things to put on your face there is no wondering why we can’t remember where to place everything on your face! So I created a fun little cheat sheet to show proper placement of each item.
1. Brightener: This is typically a a shade one to two shades lighter than your skin tone and is placed in the center of your face. I like to place a small triangle on my forehead, and under my eyes, and bring down the bridge of my nose, and chin.
2. Contour: This is typically a cool, matte brown shade placed in the shadows of your face. These shadows are typically right under your cheekbone, along the hair line, under your lower lip, and along the jaw line.
3. Bronzer: This is one item people tend to be confused with contour. Which is which and where do I put them? Bronzer is typically a warm brown shade, and can have shimmer to it. Its purpose is to warm up the skin and is placed in areas where the sun would naturally hit your face. I like to put on my cheekbones, and right below where I placed my contour, as well as along my collarbone to bring some warmth to my chest.
4. Blush: If there was one thing I could relay to you all it would be DON’T SKIP THE BLUSH! So many people forget or are just afraid of adding blush, but I promise it brings so much life back to your face that is typically covered up with foundation. I also love a blush that can double as lipstick! You don’t have to think about clashing colors on your face when you can use the same color!
5. Illuminator: or as other people call it highlighter. This is the shiny stuff we put on the high spots on our face to really make them pop. Typically we will place it on the top of our cheekbone, brow bone, and I really love to add a touch to my cupids bow.
I hope that this was helpful for those of you who are confused and in case you wanted to see to all put together here you go!
