Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese Dip are the perfect snack for your next event. Soft, chewy and bite size with a golden crust, they’re perfect for dunking into a rich beer cheese dip.

Easy Homemade Beer Cheese and Pretzel Bites

Are you looking for a delicious and crowd-pleasing snack for your next gathering? Look no further than these easy homemade beer cheese and pretzel bites are always requested at my family functions! This irresistible combination of soft, chewy pretzel bites and a rich beer cheese dip is guaranteed to be a hit.

The Pretzel Bites

To start, we’ll create the perfect pretzel bites. These bite-sized treats boast a golden crust and a tender, chewy interior. Here’s our simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Brown Sugar: Helps to activate the yeast
  • Yeast: I use dry active yeast
  • Butter: for a delicious buttery dough
  • Salt: both salt in the dough for added flavor and course salt for sprinkling
  • All Purpose Flour: You could use bread flour also
  • Baking Soda: This doesn’t actually go IN the pretzel bites, but in boiling water to help create the classic pretzel crust
  • Egg: For brushing on the pretzel to help develop the crust and help the salt to stick.

Instructions:

  1. Combine water, sugar, yeast, and butter in a large bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the salt and 4 1/2 cups flour. Mix until combined. knead using the stand mixer for 3-4 minutes or by hand for 8-10 minutes. add in more flour a little at a time if needed.
  3. Oil a bowl, add the dough and turn to coat with the oil. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Bring water to a boil and carefully add the baking soda. It will boil over, so add slowly and be careful!
  5. Remove the dough from the bowl and place on a flat surface. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, about 4 1/2 ounces each. Roll each piece into a long rope measuring 22 inches and shape. Cut the dough into one inch pieces to make the pretzel bites.
  6. Boil the pretzel bites in the water solution in batches. Remove with a large slotted spoon. Place pretzel bites on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Make sure they are not touching.
  7. Brush the tops with the egg wash and season liberally with the salt. Place bake at 425 F for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.

The Beer Cheese Dip

Now, let’s move on to the star of the show: the beer cheese dip! This creamy and flavorful dip will perfectly complement the pretzel bites. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • Butter and Flour: forms the base of the roux to thicken the sauce
  • Beer: I really like the flavor of blue moon, but you can use whatever beer you prefer the flavor of. If you do not want to use beer sub in chicken broth.
  • Milk: up the creamy factor
  • Seasoning: garlic, Dijon Mustard, and Worcestershire Sauce.
  • Shredded Cheese: I like to use a mixture of Colby jack and sharp white cheddar, but usually use whatever I have on hand
  • Hot Sauce: adds a nice flavor without a lot of heat

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add flour. Whisk to combine until smooth and continue cooking for about 1 minute.
  3. Continue to whisk and slowly add in the beer and milk.
  4. Add garlic, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Stir constantly for about 5 – 10 minutes, until thickened. The sauce should coat the back of a wooden spoon.
  6. Remove from heat and immediately stir in both cheeses and hot sauce.
  7. Salt and pepper to taste.

Serving and Enjoying

Once the pretzel bites are golden-brown and the beer cheese dip is ready, all that’s left to do is serve and enjoy! Arrange the pretzel bites on a platter alongside a bowl of the warm beer cheese dip. Encourage your guests to dunk the bite-sized pretzels into the creamy dip and savor the incredible combination of flavors.

Whether you’re hosting a game night, a movie marathon, or simply craving a tasty snack, these easy homemade beer cheese and pretzel bites are sure to be a crowd favorite. Get ready to impress your guests with this irresistible and indulgent treat!

20 minute homemade ice cream?! This is going to be the best summer ever!

Watch me creating every flavor combo of my dreams this summer.

What should I try first?

Comment CHEESECAKE for all the recipe details.

One of my favorite things about making things homemade is getting to create something you wish existed in the world.

I wanted the nostalgic crunch of those strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars… but with raspberry and an actual cheesecake twist. So naturally I had to make it happen.

And honestly? This might be one of those recipes that makes you stop after the first bite and think, where has this been my whole life?

Sweet, creamy, crunchy, raspberry perfection.

Would you try raspberry over strawberry? 👇

Episode 9 of the garden series and the garden is finally starting to fill in 🌱✨

This week I planted:🌶️ Peppers with onions, cilantro and marigolds🫘 Beans alongside potatoes and marigolds🥒 Cucumbers with dill, carrots, and radishes🌸 PLUS all the flowers — zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, strawflower, celosia, and feverfew

I love companion planting because every plant has a purpose. Some help attract pollinators, some deter pests, and some simply help maximize space in the garden beds. And honestly… mixing veggies and flowers together just makes the garden feel magical. 🌼🐝

The vision is finally starting to come together and I cannot wait to see everything explode with growth over the next few weeks.

Which plant are you most excited to watch grow this season? 👇

Tomato season is officially underway 🍅🌱

I finally got all of my tomato plants in the ground and filled the beds in with some of my favorite companion plants too! Not only do they help maximize space, but they also help attract pollinators, improve soil health, and keep pests away naturally.

This year I’m planting:
✨ Basil – helps improve flavor + keeps pests away
✨ Marigolds – a garden must for pest control
✨ Onions – great companions for tomatoes
✨ Zinnias - not only are they pretty to look at, but they are great for attracting pollinators

One of my favorite gardening tips is to never leave bare soil if you can help it. Filling in around your tomatoes makes the garden more productive AND prettier.

Also, something I didn’t talk about is mulching my plants. I use grass clippings BEFORE my husband has done any kind of spraying on the lawn. This helps with moisture retention and controlling weeds!

Now we wait for those summer tomato sandwiches 🍅

#ad | These Cowboy Burgers are a MUST this grilling season, and the ground beef I grabbed from my local @KrogerCo Family of Stores made them perfect for feeding a crowd.

Juicy, smoky, loaded with all the good stuff… aka the kind of burger that disappears the second it hits the table.

Save this for your next summertime cookout + drop “BURGER” 🍔 if you can’t wait to make these!
