Buttercream Decorated Cakes

Decorated buttercream cakes are not only beautiful to look at, they are also delicious to eat.

I have so so enjoyed creating buttercream decorated cakes. Some of my all time favorite cakes are the ones with floral inspirations. Since this is something I so enjoy creating I wanted to have a place to compile all of them for you, in hopes that they will also inspire you to create for yourself.

This was the cake I made for my birthday. I wanted to incorporate my favorite flowers of the season, dahlias and cosmos along with a wheat stalk since we are always in the middle of wheat harvest during my birthday.

This cake was a fun one to play around with I added dahlia and roses as the main flowers.

This sunflower cake may just be my all time favorite cake ever.
