Crispy Baked Hot Honey Chicken: A Flavorful Delight!

This mouthwatering recipe offers two irresistible ways to enjoy this delectable treat – with a mild or spicy twist. Whether you prefer a mild honey chicken or crave a little more kick, this recipe has got you covered!

The Perfect Combination: Hot, Sweet, and Crispy

There’s something magical about the marriage of hot and sweet flavors, and this crispy baked hot honey chicken recipe is the epitome of culinary perfection. The tenderness of the chicken combined with the crispy coating and the sticky hot honey glaze creates an explosion of flavors that will leave you craving more.

One of the best things about this recipe is its versatility. You have the option to choose between a mild version, perfect for kids who won’t touch anything spicy, or a spicy variation that will make the adults at the table happy. Plus, a little spritz of oil these can be cooked in the oven and still get crispy like you deep fried them.

Now that your taste buds are tingling, it’s time to dive into the step-by-step process of creating this easy baked chicken recipe. Follow these straightforward instructions, and soon you’ll be enjoying a plateful of crispy baked hot honey chicken that will have everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients:

  • Breadcrumbs: The main coating. You can use seasoning, plain, or panko.
  • Parmesan Cheese: adds a little extra flavor and crispiness to the coating
  • Seasonings: paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder
  • Eggs: Helps to bind everything together and keep the coating on the chicken tenders
  • Chicken Tenders: If you can’t find or don’t have chicken tenders just cut chicken breasts into strips
  • Spray Oil: I use spray avocado oil, but anything you have works. If you don’t have spray oil carefully drizzle oil over the tenders.
  • Hot Sauce: Your favorite hot sauce works. Add as little or as much as you like. I usually add 2 tbsp.
  • Honey: regular honey for a mild flavor or hot honey for those who like it spicier.

Option 1: Honey Chicken Tenders

In this version we omit the hot sauce from the egg wash mixture and drizzle with plain honey instead. This is perfect for the kids who will love the sweetness the honey adds to an otherwise plain chicken tender.

Option 2: Honey Hot Chicken Tenders

In this version we add hot sauce to the egg wash mixture and drizzle with hot honey. I wanted to make this recipe super easy to to implement both versions in a single setting. I will make the regular Honey Chicken Tenders for the kids and then add in the hot sauce to make the spicier version for those who want it. An easy way to modify dinner so everyone is happy.

This one is for those who don’t really like cake.

Homemade fresh mint chip ice cream, a fudgy cookie layer, and cookies & cream ice cream all stacked into one very perfect ice cream cake.

One of my favorite things about making desserts from scratch is getting to create flavor combinations you can’t always find at the store.

And honestly, that’s the fun of homemade, making exactly what you wish existed.

One of my favorite things about making things homemade is getting to create something you wish existed in the world.

I wanted the nostalgic crunch of those strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars… but with raspberry and an actual cheesecake twist. So naturally I had to make it happen.

And honestly? This might be one of those recipes that makes you stop after the first bite and think, where has this been my whole life?

Sweet, creamy, crunchy, raspberry perfection.

Would you try raspberry over strawberry? 👇

Episode 9 of the garden series and the garden is finally starting to fill in 🌱✨

This week I planted:🌶️ Peppers with onions, cilantro and marigolds🫘 Beans alongside potatoes and marigolds🥒 Cucumbers with dill, carrots, and radishes🌸 PLUS all the flowers — zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, strawflower, celosia, and feverfew

I love companion planting because every plant has a purpose. Some help attract pollinators, some deter pests, and some simply help maximize space in the garden beds. And honestly… mixing veggies and flowers together just makes the garden feel magical. 🌼🐝

The vision is finally starting to come together and I cannot wait to see everything explode with growth over the next few weeks.

Which plant are you most excited to watch grow this season? 👇
