There is nothing better than a good egg roll from our local Chinese restaurant. However, this super simple egg roll in a bowl recipe is a pretty close second! If you are looking for a simple weeknight dinner then keep on scrolling.
Egg Roll in a Bowl Ingredients
- Ground Beef – can swap for ground turkey or ground pork for the main protien
- Coleslaw Mix – found in the salad area it has shredded cabbage and carrots.
- Shredded Carrots – while the coleslaw mix already has some I like the extra dose of carrots.
- Sesame Oil – gives a great flavor while sauteing the veggies
- Seasonings – garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, red pepper flakes
- Soy Sauce – give a little sauce to the bowl and that flavor we know and love
How to Make Egg Roll in a Bowl
- In a large skillet cook ground beef until no longer pink.
- In the skillet add sesame oil, coleslaw mix, and shredded carrots. Cook until coleslaw mix starts to cook down.
- Add in soy sauce and seasonings. Mix to combine.
- Serve with a side of rice or ramen noodles.

- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
