This Cereal Milk Latte is a nostalgic coffee drink made by infusing milk with cereal and adding espresso.

If you’ve ever wished you could bottle up the sweet, nostalgic flavor of the milk left at the bottom of your cereal bowl, this Cereal Milk Latte is exactly that. Made by infusing milk with your favorite cereal, this latte transforms your favorite childhood breakfast into a cozy café-style drink you can enjoy any time of day.

The milk absorbs all the sweet, toasted cereal flavor, creating a creamy base that pairs perfectly with espresso. The result is a latte that’s rich, lightly sweet, and packed with nostalgic flavor. While Lucky Charms give this drink that iconic marshmallow sweetness, you can easily use almost any cereal you love — from Cinnamon Toast Crunch to Fruity Pebbles.

Whether you’re looking for a fun weekend coffee, a unique brunch drink, or a viral-style café treat at home, this cereal milk latte recipe is simple, creative, and incredibly delicious.

Why You’ll Love This Cereal Milk Latte

  • Tastes just like the milk from your cereal bowl
  • Easy homemade café-style drink
  • Customizable with any cereal flavor
  • Perfect for brunch, dessert, or a fun coffee treat
  • Ready in just minutes

What is Cereal Milk?

Cereal milk is simply milk that has been infused with cereal to capture its flavor. As the cereal soaks, it releases sugars, toasted grain notes, and any added flavors like cinnamon or chocolate.

This technique has become popular in coffee drinks and desserts because it creates a naturally flavored milk that tastes nostalgic and unique.

For this latte, Lucky Charms cereal adds hints of vanilla, toasted oat flavor, and sweetness from the marshmallows.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Lucky Charms Cereal – Adds sweetness and nostalgic cereal flavor to the milk.
  • Milk – Whole milk works best for a creamy latte, but oat milk or almond milk can also be used.
  • Espresso or Strong Brewed Coffee – Balances the sweetness of the cereal milk.
  • Ice (Optional) – Perfect if you want to turn this into an iced cereal milk latte.
  • Optional Toppings – Whipped cream, Extra cereal or marshmallows, Cinnamon or cocoa powder

How to Make a Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte

Step 1: Make the Cereal Milk

Add about 1/2 cup of Lucky Charms cereal to 1 cup of milk in a bowl or jar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes so the milk can absorb the cereal flavor.

Strain the cereal out using a fine mesh strainer, pressing gently to release the flavorful milk.

Step 2: Brew the Coffee

Prepare 1–2 shots of espresso or about ½ cup of strong brewed coffee.

Step 3: Assemble the Latte (Hot or Iced)

Heat the cereal milk if making a hot latte, or pour it over ice for an iced version.

Add the espresso to the cereal milk and stir gently to combine.

Top with whipped cream and a few Lucky Charms marshmallows if desired.

Best Cereals to Use for Cereal Milk Lattes

This recipe works with almost any cereal. Try experimenting with:

  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch (warm cinnamon latte)
  • Fruity Pebbles (bright fruity latte)
  • Cocoa Puffs (instantly turn this into a cereal milk mocha)
  • Honey Nut Cheerios (light honey flavor)
  • Reese’s Puffs (peanut butter chocolate latte)

Each cereal creates a completely different latte flavor.

Tips for the Best Cereal Milk Latte

  • Use slightly warm milk to extract more cereal flavor
  • Don’t soak too long or the milk may become grainy
  • Strain thoroughly for a smooth latte texture
  • Use freshly brewed espresso for the best flavor balance

Final Thoughts

This Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte is a fun, nostalgic twist on your everyday coffee. It’s sweet, creamy, and incredibly customizable depending on the cereal you choose. Once you try cereal milk in coffee, you might find yourself experimenting with every cereal in your pantry.

One of my favorite things about making things homemade is getting to create something you wish existed in the world.

I wanted the nostalgic crunch of those strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars… but with raspberry and an actual cheesecake twist. So naturally I had to make it happen.

And honestly? This might be one of those recipes that makes you stop after the first bite and think, where has this been my whole life?

Sweet, creamy, crunchy, raspberry perfection.

Would you try raspberry over strawberry? 👇

Episode 9 of the garden series and the garden is finally starting to fill in 🌱✨

This week I planted:🌶️ Peppers with onions, cilantro and marigolds🫘 Beans alongside potatoes and marigolds🥒 Cucumbers with dill, carrots, and radishes🌸 PLUS all the flowers — zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, strawflower, celosia, and feverfew

I love companion planting because every plant has a purpose. Some help attract pollinators, some deter pests, and some simply help maximize space in the garden beds. And honestly… mixing veggies and flowers together just makes the garden feel magical. 🌼🐝

The vision is finally starting to come together and I cannot wait to see everything explode with growth over the next few weeks.

Which plant are you most excited to watch grow this season? 👇

Tomato season is officially underway 🍅🌱

I finally got all of my tomato plants in the ground and filled the beds in with some of my favorite companion plants too! Not only do they help maximize space, but they also help attract pollinators, improve soil health, and keep pests away naturally.

This year I’m planting:
✨ Basil – helps improve flavor + keeps pests away
✨ Marigolds – a garden must for pest control
✨ Onions – great companions for tomatoes
✨ Zinnias - not only are they pretty to look at, but they are great for attracting pollinators

One of my favorite gardening tips is to never leave bare soil if you can help it. Filling in around your tomatoes makes the garden more productive AND prettier.

Also, something I didn’t talk about is mulching my plants. I use grass clippings BEFORE my husband has done any kind of spraying on the lawn. This helps with moisture retention and controlling weeds!

Now we wait for those summer tomato sandwiches 🍅

#ad | These Cowboy Burgers are a MUST this grilling season, and the ground beef I grabbed from my local @KrogerCo Family of Stores made them perfect for feeding a crowd.

Juicy, smoky, loaded with all the good stuff… aka the kind of burger that disappears the second it hits the table.

Save this for your next summertime cookout + drop “BURGER” 🍔 if you can’t wait to make these!
