Jam jar coffee is the best way to get all the goodness from an almost empty jar of jam. Sweet and creamy for the best kind of morning magic.

What is Jam Jar Coffee?

If you’ve ever reached the end of a jar of jam and hated scraping the last bits out, this recipe is for you. Jam jar coffee is a fun, zero-waste way to turn those last spoonfuls of jam into a delicious homemade latte. Simply brew hot espresso or strong coffee right into the jar, swirl it around to pick up all that fruity sweetness, then finish it off with milk and a dreamy berry cold foam.

This cozy coffee hack is perfect for mornings when you want something special without a lot of effort. It’s like a café-style drink with a fruity twist, made right at home.

Why You’ll Love Jam Jar Coffee

  • Zero waste – No jam left behind!
  • Fruity & sweet – The jam acts as a natural sweetener and flavoring.
  • Customizable – Works with any flavor of jam: strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, peach, or mixed berry.

Ingredients for Jam Jar Coffee

  • Nearly empty jam jar – Any flavor you love! (Strawberry and raspberry are classics, but peach or blackberry are amazing too.)
  • Espresso – Can swap for instant coffee mixed water.
  • Milk – For creaminess. I prefer whole milk, but add your prefered milk.

For the Berry Cold Foam

  • Milk and Heavy Cream – this is my favorite combination for the frothiest cold foam
  • Jam or Syrup – add a scoop of jam or berry syrup for the best cold foam topper

How to Make Jam Jar Coffee

  1. Brew Your Coffee – Add hot espresso or strong coffee directly into your almost-empty jam jar with ice.
  2. Add Milk – Pour in milk.
  3. Make the Berry Cold Foam – In a separate cup, froth together cold milk, heavy cream and jam or syrup until thick and foamy. (You can use a handheld frother, blender, or just shake in a jar.)
  4. Top & Serve – Spoon the berry cold foam over your jammy latte and enjoy immediately!

Flavor Variations

  • Strawberry Jam Jar Latte – Sweet and classic.
  • Raspberry Mocha – Add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to your coffee before shaking.
  • Peach & Cream Latte – Perfect for summer mornings.
  • Mixed Berry Iced Latte – Brew your coffee strong and pour over ice before topping with cold foam.

Tips for Success

  • If your jar is really empty, add a spoonful of jam back in for extra flavor.
  • Use whole milk with heavy cream for the best cold foam texture.
  • For a hot version, skip the ice and warm your milk before combining.

Final Thoughts

Jam jar coffee is more than just a cute coffee trend—it’s a genius way to reduce waste and upgrade your morning brew. The leftover jam adds natural sweetness and fruity flavor, while the berry cold foam gives it that coffee shop finish.

One of my favorite things about making things homemade is getting to create something you wish existed in the world.

I wanted the nostalgic crunch of those strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars… but with raspberry and an actual cheesecake twist. So naturally I had to make it happen.

And honestly? This might be one of those recipes that makes you stop after the first bite and think, where has this been my whole life?

Sweet, creamy, crunchy, raspberry perfection.

Would you try raspberry over strawberry? 👇

Episode 9 of the garden series and the garden is finally starting to fill in 🌱✨

This week I planted:🌶️ Peppers with onions, cilantro and marigolds🫘 Beans alongside potatoes and marigolds🥒 Cucumbers with dill, carrots, and radishes🌸 PLUS all the flowers — zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, strawflower, celosia, and feverfew

I love companion planting because every plant has a purpose. Some help attract pollinators, some deter pests, and some simply help maximize space in the garden beds. And honestly… mixing veggies and flowers together just makes the garden feel magical. 🌼🐝

The vision is finally starting to come together and I cannot wait to see everything explode with growth over the next few weeks.

Which plant are you most excited to watch grow this season? 👇

Tomato season is officially underway 🍅🌱

I finally got all of my tomato plants in the ground and filled the beds in with some of my favorite companion plants too! Not only do they help maximize space, but they also help attract pollinators, improve soil health, and keep pests away naturally.

This year I’m planting:
✨ Basil – helps improve flavor + keeps pests away
✨ Marigolds – a garden must for pest control
✨ Onions – great companions for tomatoes
✨ Zinnias - not only are they pretty to look at, but they are great for attracting pollinators

One of my favorite gardening tips is to never leave bare soil if you can help it. Filling in around your tomatoes makes the garden more productive AND prettier.

Also, something I didn’t talk about is mulching my plants. I use grass clippings BEFORE my husband has done any kind of spraying on the lawn. This helps with moisture retention and controlling weeds!

Now we wait for those summer tomato sandwiches 🍅

#ad | These Cowboy Burgers are a MUST this grilling season, and the ground beef I grabbed from my local @KrogerCo Family of Stores made them perfect for feeding a crowd.

Juicy, smoky, loaded with all the good stuff… aka the kind of burger that disappears the second it hits the table.

Save this for your next summertime cookout + drop “BURGER” 🍔 if you can’t wait to make these!
