Ingredients for Apple Cobbler

COBBLER

  • Flour: I use all-purpose flour
  • Sugar: we aren't lacking in sweetness here!
  • Baking Powder: makes the cobbler topping nice and fluffy.
  • Milk: Use whatever kind of milk you have. I use whole milk, but a dairy alternative will also work here.
  • Brown Sugar: Sprinkled on the top of the crust, this gives an extra amount of crisp to the cobbler crust.

APPLE PIE FILLING

  • Apples: sliced or diced. Just your preference of size. I don't peel my apples half of the time. But if you don't like the texture then peel them!
  • Lemon Juice: helps the apples form being discolored.
  • Brown Sugar: gives a warm sweet filling.
  • Cornstarch: thickens the apple filling
  • Cinnamon + Nutmeg: the perfect spices for this filling.
  • Salt: helps to balance the sweetness.
  • Butter: creates a delicious gooey apple filling.
