Charcuterie Board Basics

I love making a charcuterie board for get togethers. I find them a fun way to fancy up the typical meat and cheese tray and also provide an assortment. I also like to make a smaller version for myself for a light lunch! Here is my most recent board I made for Christmas Eve.

When I am making a board I like to start with one item at a time. This time I really wanted to incorporate the baguette, so I started there and then added in the different jams, olives, and honey. Once I placed the toppers I started to fill in the blanks with cheese and crackers. Finally I love adding a little bit of rosemary and fruits for added color to the board. Otherwise the crackers and cheese can start to look all the same color.

There are tons of guides out there that will tell you what meats, cheeses, and spreads go well together, but I like to just choose items that I know I will like. If you are looking for a great place to get your meats, I love Costco, just know that you will have a TON, so either plan on having enough for a few smaller boards, or one giant board. They also have a great selection of cheeses and even have a charcuterie sampler that makes having a selection of meats super easy.

Take a look below to see specifics of what I included. I found the pepper jelly at Albertsons and the fig jam at TJMaxx, they are very hit or miss, but I have found some good ones there.

Let me know, do you enjoy making charcuterie boards? Have you made one before? I just love how pretty they look!

These coffees are worth it! But thankfully I’m not paying $7 for them at home!

Which one are you making first?

Girls day, but make it a little messy, a little creative, and a lot delicious.

I hosted the sweetest paint + pot afternoon with my friends. Just us, some blank pots, and zero pressure to be “good” at anything except having fun.

We painted, we laughed, we caught up on life… and of course, we ate really well:
🍋 Lemon blueberry cake
🍯 Garlic honey chicken with fresh peach salsa
🥙 Greek salad hummus bites

It’s wild how something this simple can fill your cup so much. No big production, just intentional time together, and honestly, we need more of that.

10/10 recommend hosting your girls, even if it’s not perfect. Especially if it’s not perfect 🤍

Who’s coming next time? 🫶

Buttery croissants, juicy beef, melty cheese, and caramelized onions, this Croissant Burger is your sign to upgrade burger night.

Crispy on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside, and loaded with flavor in every bite. Once you try burgers on croissants, there’s no going back.

Made this on the @blackstoneproducts and it turned out so good for an easy weeknight dinner.

Save this for your next cookout and let me know if you’re team croissant bun 👇
